Dr. Calvin Rhoads

Hailing from the cornfields of Northeast Ohio, Dr. Rhoads’ love for life sciences began with his time spent outdoors. During his high school summer research internships at the Cleveland Clinic, he discovered his passion for the intersection of science and health.

After earning a Microbiology degree from Ohio State University, Dr. Rhoads realized that dentistry was his true calling. He continued his education at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, followed by a hospital-based residency at Oregon Health & Science University, then clinical special care fellowship training with the Lee Specialty Clinic.

Eager to serve a community in need, he called the remote town of Haines, Alaska home for three years. When not fishing, Dr. Rhoads could be found at the only dental clinic in town, serving patients from their first year to their last. He also hosted the region’s only adult special care clinic, with hospital privileges and a residency teaching appointment in nearby Juneau.

Now, Dr. Rhoads is excited to bring his expertise and enthusiasm for serving those with special needs to the Western Slope. Get ready for a dentist with a unique blend of midwest charm and medically-minded dental care!”
